Where Every Painting Begins With a Blank Canvas and a Story
Welcome to HIM ART GALLERY — a home for original, handmade paintings created with patience, detail, and a genuine love for the craft.
I’m Himika, the artist behind every piece you see on this website. Painting has been a part of my life since childhood — long before I ever thought of it as something more than a quiet joy I returned to again and again. What began as a childhood hobby, something I picked up simply because I loved it, slowly grew into a skill I kept nurturing over the years. HIM ART GALLERY is the next step in that journey — a space where I finally get to share my work directly with people who value handmade art the way I do.
The Philosophy Behind the Brand
In a world full of mass-produced decor, I believe there’s something irreplaceable about a painting made entirely by hand — brushstroke by brushstroke, with no two pieces ever exactly alike. Every painting on this site is:
- 100% handmade — no prints, no mass production
- One-of-a-kind — once a piece is sold, that exact painting cannot be recreated
- Made with care from start to finish — from choosing the canvas and colours to the final framing before it reaches you
My Style
My work spans a few styles close to my heart — traditional Madhubani art, with its intricate lines and folk motifs, alongside still life paintings and nature landscapes. I enjoy moving between these different worlds, from the rich cultural detail of Madhubani to the quiet, everyday beauty of a still life or an open landscape.
Each painting is inspired by the world around me — the intricate patterns of Madhubani art, quiet still-life scenes from everyday life, and the beauty of nature in its many forms — and I try to bring a piece of that feeling into every home it reaches.
